Here is our review/discussion of s5 ep 1 Arrival. This episode was originally aired on September 29th, 2005. It was written by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer and was Directed by James Marshall.

Episode summary: Clark is present as the Fortress of Solitude erupts from the Artic. Inside he’s greeted by Jor-El telling him one party of his journey is over and another is to begin.  Smallville is still recovering from the Meterorshower when things get worse with two kryptonians on the loose looking for Kal-el. Lex circles clark’s secret.  Chloe and Clark come clean with each other.  Clark breaks a promise and loses his powers, but gains another chance with Lana.
