Here is our review/discussion of s4 ep 1 Crusade. This episode was originally aired on September 22nd, 2004. It was written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and was Directed by Greg Beeman.

Episode summary: Clark returns with no memory. He’s found by Lois Lane who has come to Smallville to investigate Chloe’s Murder. Clark is reunited with Martha who’s watching over Jonathan who’s been in a coma since Clark left into the void. Lex finds a Kryptonian artifact in Egypt. Lana is in Paris and has a new man in her life, named Jason. Clark is taken over by the Kal-El personality and flies off to steal the artifact from Lex. Lana gets a new Tattoo. Martha calls Dr Swan for reinforcements and his associate brings Martha Black Kryptonite which allows Clark to defeat the Kal-el personality which also awakens Jonathan from his Coma. Lana returns to Smallville seeking answers. Jason follows her to town.
